We have entered an exciting and innovative relationship with Collision ministries. Collision is a parachurch organization with a local church strategy. Partnering together, we want to see young people know the hope of Jesus Christ and be equipped to share that hope with their peers. Youth Ministry Directors at Faith United split time between working in the church running youth group programming and running Collision activities in the schools and the community. We see this partnership as the best of two ministry worlds coming together to engage the future generations with the gospel.

Collision started in 2008 when a group of students from Lincoln High School saw the brokenness of others around them (self-harm, violence, self-esteem, etc.). They asked John Glasser, Collision Founder & President, to help them start a movement inside their school where they could make a positive impact by caring and sharing Jesus with peers. Today, this student-led movement has multiplied into thousands of positive connections inside and outside school walls. Countless relationships continue to be formed leading to positive life-changing moments.

Connecting and empowering students to ignite the hope of Jesus Christ everywhere.

Equipping students to become faithful followers of Christ who share the gospel, multiply, and transform their schools and the world around them.

We accomplish this by:

Connecting and working with local churches to partner with Christ-following middle and high school students.

Empowering students through mentoring, coaching, and providing resources to help equip them to share the hope of Christ in their schools and with their peers.

So that students can:

Ignite movements of hope by welcoming and loving their peers, sharing the gospel, and training other students to do the same. These student-led movements transform their schools and the world around them.

Food is the universal language. Gathering around food can be a great place to spark a friendship. Each month, the Collision team provides the resources for students to connect in a variety of positive ways, many times around food, including:

          ●    Collision Cafes and Connection Lunches

          ●    Students mentoring and leadership training

          ●    School assemblies

          ●    Special events and conferences

          ●    Students Discipleship Making Groups

Hundreds of weekly small group meetings of 6-10 students meet  around the area where Biblically-based Collision developed curriculum is used to build vision, guide discussions, experience loving accountability, practice sharing the gospel, study the Bible, and set goals to multiply the group.

Collision is an organization that is for, not against. We value all people from every walk of life. We will always respect others, their opinions, and where they are in their life journey. We will always listen first. We show who we are before we share.

Collision was founded upon God’s call to faithfully help fulfill the Great Commission in this generation. We are committed to the attractive, effective communication of the gospel so that men and women respond to God’s grace. We are also committed to helping establish believers in their faith, and equipping them to be laborers with us in the Great Commission.

All of Collision’s resources are God’s provision to equip us for the charge He has given. The Bible instructs us that our people, our time, and our monies are a trust from God for which He holds us individually and corporately responsible.
